Red Oak Recovery® offers flexible Outpatient Programs (IOP) for men to continue recovery while living at home or in sober housing. Maintaining work and family life is possible with the help of our science-backed programs and our compassionate team of drug and alcohol treatment experts.
Continued Care with Flexibility
The Outpatient Program at Red Oak Recovery® is perfect for men who have completed residential treatment or those with less severe needs. This level of care allows you to live at home or in sober housing while attending therapy and groups. You can balance your recovery with work, school, or family responsibilities. Our program provides the structure and support you need to maintain sobriety in the real world. Outpatient treatment is an ideal option for men who have already completed a higher level of care or who have a strong support system at home. You will continue to receive professional clinical care while maintaining your daily routine. This flexibility allows you to apply the skills you’ve learned in therapy directly to your real life. Many clients find that outpatient treatment helps them transition smoothly back to independence, while staying connected to their recovery support network.
Intensive Support and Real-World Skills
We offer both Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and standard Outpatient (OP) options to fit your needs. IOP provides a high level of clinical care, with several sessions per week. Our focus is on relapse prevention, managing stress, and practicing new coping skills in your daily life. You will continue to benefit from individual and group therapy led by our expert clinicians. In the Intensive Outpatient Program, you will typically attend sessions three to five days per week for two to three hours per session. This structured schedule provides significant clinical support while allowing you to maintain your work and family commitments. Standard Outpatient Programs meet less frequently but still offer comprehensive therapy and support. Both options are designed to help you navigate the challenges of recovery in your everyday environment.
Building a Sober Life
The Outpatient Program is where you put your recovery skills to the test. You will learn how to navigate challenges and triggers in the outside world. We continue to use our trauma-informed and holistic approach to support your mental and emotional health. This program is a vital bridge to long-term independence and a healthy, sober lifestyle.
Recovery is not just about stopping substance use. It’s about building a life worth living. In our outpatient program, you will develop healthy coping mechanisms for stress, learn to manage relationships, and discover new ways to find joy and fulfillment. You will work with your therapist to identify your personal triggers and create strategies to avoid or manage them. This real-world practice is essential for long-term success.

Comprehensive Therapy Services
Our men’s addiction treatment programs offer a range of evidence-based therapeutic options, which we’ll tailor to the unique needs of the client. We provide a variety of treatment options, which are treatments that experts in substance use disorder treatment recommend, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, group therapy, individual therapy, and psychotherapy.
Through these therapies, we can help you get to the root of your addiction, allowing you to understand why you began using drugs or alcohol. Once you know the root cause(s) of your addiction, then we can start to help you develop healthier coping mechanisms. Our therapists work collaboratively with you to create treatment plans that meet your unique educational, emotional, and developmental needs.
Treatment Designed for Men
We know that substance use affects men in unique ways. Males more commonly have trouble with stress management, anger, and self-esteem. With that in mind, our programs at Red Oak Recovery® specialize in gender-specific treatments that provide safety, focus, and the strength to endure and succeed in recovery.
Our outpatient program is exclusively for men, creating a safe space where you can be vulnerable and authentic. You will connect with other men who understand your experiences and challenges. This supportive community helps you feel less alone in your recovery journey. Our clinicians are specially trained to address the specific mental health and addiction issues that men face.
Mental Health and Co-Occurring Disorders
Many individuals benefit from a blend of therapeutic methods and medication to support complete healing. At Red Oak Recovery®, our dedicated therapists create personalized mental health treatment plans that include one-on-one, family, and group therapy sessions. They often employ a variety of techniques to cater to each individual’s specific diagnosis, symptoms, and needs.
Research shows that over nine million people suffer from both an addiction and a mental health condition. Regardless of which caused the other, it is critical to find concurrent treatment for both conditions. This type of treatment is called co-occurring disorders treatment. With dual diagnosis treatment, we help clients learn to cope with their symptoms and their substance use, giving them the best possible chance for long-term recovery.
Your Path to Long-Term Recovery
The Outpatient Program is designed to help you gradually transition to independence while maintaining professional support and encouragement. As you progress through the program, you will develop greater confidence in your ability to manage your recovery. Your therapist will work with you to determine when you are ready to step down to a less intensive level of care or to graduate from the program.
We don’t just help you get sober. We help you build a life worth living. Our goal is to equip you with the tools, skills, and support system you need to maintain your sobriety for the long term. Many of our graduates continue to participate in support groups and maintain connections with the recovery community. This ongoing connection is often key to sustained recovery.
